Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 hearing there no babble; 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
