Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 And linen spread out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
