Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 And chosen goblets. 14 and arranged cushions 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26
