Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 hearing there no babble; 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions ranged! 15 And linen spread out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not over them a controller. 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
