Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dawn; 1 And by oath of ten nights. 2 by the even, and the odd, 3 by the night when it journeys on! 4 Is there (not) in these an adjuration (or evidence) for those who understand? 5 Have you not heard how your Lord dealt with Aad? 6 the people of Iram, the city of many pillars, 7 the like of whom has never been reared in all the land? 8 and with [the tribe of] Thamud, who hollowed out rocks in the valley? 9 And Pharaoh, of the pegs (impaling his victims)? 10 Who all waxed exorbitant in the cities, 11 And made therein much mischief. 12 and therefore thy Sustainer let loose upon them a scourge of suffering: 13 Truly your Lord is ever watchful. 14 As for man, when his Lord tries him by giving him honour and gifts, then he says (puffed up): "My Lord has honoured me." 15 But when He tries him by restraining his means, he says: "My Lord despises me." 16 But no; you do not treat the orphan honourably, 17 And urge not on the feeding of AlMiskin (the poor)! 18 Why do you take away the inheritance of others indiscriminately 19 And ye love riches with exceeding love. 20 No indeed! When the earth is ground to powder, 21 And your Lord comes and (also) the angels in ranks, 22 And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him? 23 He will say: “Would that I had sent ahead what would be of avail for this life of mine!” 24 But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement, 25 and none can bind with bonds like His. 26 (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! 27 Return unto thy Lord, content in His good pleasure! 28 "Enter then among My votaries, 29 And come into My Paradise! 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
تشير بداية ونهاية كل سورة الى السور المنزلة قبلها و بعدها. يمكنك الضغط على أي منها للذهاب إليها.
The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
