Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the (particular) dawn. 1 and the ten nights, 2 And by the even and the odd, 3 and by the night when it moves on towards daybreak (reward and retribution in the next life is an absolute reality). 4 Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception? 5 Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad - 6 of the columned (city) of Iram, 7 the like of which was never created in the countries? 8 And (with) Samood, who hewed out the rocks in the valley, 9 And (with) Fir'aun (Pharaoh), who had pegs (who used to torture men by binding them to pegs)? 10 [It was they] who transgressed all bounds of equity all over their lands, 11 and spread much corruption in the land. 12 So your Lord poured a scourge of punishment over them. 13 For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower. 14 As for man, when his Lord tests him by honoring him and favoring him, he says: 'My Lord, has honored me' 15 But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me." 16 Nay! but you do not honor the orphan, 17 or urge one another to feed the destitute? 18 And you devour inheritance all with greed, 19 and you love wealth with boundless love! 20 Surely when We pound the earth to powder grounded, pounded to dust, 21 and thy Lord comes, and the angels rank on rank, 22 and Gehenna (Hell) is brought near on that Day the human will remember, and how shall the Reminder be for him? 23 He will say, “Alas if only I had sent some good deeds ahead, during my lifetime!” 24 So on that day, no one punishes like He does! 25 And no one shall bind with (anything like) His binding. 26 O satisfied soul, 27 return to your Lord wellpleased, wellpleasing. 28 "Enter then among My votaries, 29 And come into My Paradise! 30
True are the words of God the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
