The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the sun and its brilliance, 1 And by oath of the moon when it follows the sun 2 The day when it reveals his radiance, 3 by the night when it covers the earth with darkness, 4 and by the sky and by Him Who made it; 5 And the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 And by oath of the soul and by oath of Him Who made it proper. 7 And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right;- 8 Indeed successful is the one who made it pure. 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 Thamud belied in their exorbitance. 11 when the most wretched of them uprose, 12 the Messenger of Allah said to them: '(This is) the shecamel of Allah, let her drink' 13 But they belied him, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin and leveled it (their village). 14 And He feared not the consequence thereof 15
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
