The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And rejects goodness, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 seeking only the Face of his Lord, the Most High, 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
