The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Surely upon Us rests the guidance, 12 And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
