The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night, when it envelops, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 you strive in various ways. 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But as for one who is miserly and unheeding, 8 and denied the Truth of goodness: 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely; 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
