The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And believed the best matter to be true 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 I have warned you then about a raging Fire: 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 Who had denied and turned away. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 he that spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
