The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 They do not expect any reward 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
