Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 And who belieth the Good, 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 None shall roast therein but the most wretched, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 the Godfearing who spends his wealth to purify himself; 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 He desires only to please his Lord, the Supreme. 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
