The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 And the day resplendent 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And accepts the best, 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 who spend for the cause of God and purify themselves. 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
