The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
