Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the midmorning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
