The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
