The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
