The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
