The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
