Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
