The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
