The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
