The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
