The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
