Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
