The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the midday brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
