Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
