The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
