Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
