Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- 1 And We have taken off from thee thy burthen, 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 have We not given you high renown? 4 So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you finish the prayer, strive in supplication. 7 And strive to please thy Lord. 8
