Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Have We not expanded your chest for you (Prophet Muhammad), 1 And We have taken off from thee thy burthen, 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 And [have We not] raised thee high in dignity? 4 So indeed with hardship is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 And unto thine Lord, attend. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
