The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 or orders piety? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
