The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who taught by the pen, 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
