In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
