In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
