The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
