In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
