The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 or orders piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
