The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
