The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 and enjoins piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
