The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.

توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
