The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
