The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
