The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or orders piety? 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
