The Embryo (Al-Alaq)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
