Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 a messenger from God, reciting to them pure scriptures, 2 holy Book which contain eternal laws of guidance. 3 Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them. 4 And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight. 5 Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Quran and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. 6 Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. 7 their recompense is with their Lord-Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling for ever and ever. God is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
