Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
THOSE AMONG THE people of the Book who disbelieve, and the idolaters, would not have been freed (from false beliefs) until the clear proof came to them -- 1 a Messenger (Muhammad) from God, reciting to them parts of the purified, 2 Containing correct and straight laws from Allah. 3 Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. 6 But those who believe and do the right are surely the best of created beings, 7 Their reward with their Lord is 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (Gardens of Eternity), underneath which rivers flow, they will abide therein forever, Allah Well-Pleased with them, and they with Him. That is for him who fears his Lord. 8
