Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and among Al-Mushrikun, were not going to leave (their disbelief) until there came to them clear evidence. 1 A messenger from Allah, reading purified pages 2 Containing correct scriptures. 3 Nor did the People of the Book(s) get divided until after the clear proof came to them. 4 Yet all that they had been commanded was that they serve Allah, with utter sincerity, devoting themselves exclusively to Him, and that they establish Prayer and pay Zakah. That is the Right Faith. 5 Verily those who disbelieve from among the people of the Book and the associaters shall be cast into the Hell-fire, as abiders therein. These! they are the worst of the creation. 6 But those who believe, and do righteous deeds, those are the best of creatures; 7 their recompense is with their Lord-Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling for ever and ever. God is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
