Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Those who disbelieved from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists could not have separated (from the faithful) until there had come to them the clear evidence: 1 An apostle from Allah rehearsing Writs cleansed. 2 containing upright precepts. 3 Nor did the People of the Book disagreed among themselves until after receiving the ancient divine testaments. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans will dwell forever in hell; they are the worst of all creatures. 6 The righteously striving believers are the best of all creatures. 7 Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. 8
